Weak tropical systems stunted by Saharan air
FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber is watching an area of low pressure in the tropics that has a 10 percent chance of developing over the next seven days. He says strong winds are expected to prevent it from developing though. According to Weber there are some weak tropical waves making their way off the coast of Africa, but the Saharan air is keeping them from forming.

New tropical disturbance being watched in Atlantic
FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber is keeping an eye on two areas in the Atlantic- the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy and a disturbance to the south and east, which has a 20 percent chance of development over the next week. However, he says it is a long shot that either system will develop due to high wind shear in the area. Weber says the good news is that if a new system does develop, it will likely stay out to sea.

Will Tropical Storm Cindy redevelop?
FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber says things are quiet in the Atlantic right now as dry air makes its way up toward the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy. Weber says there is a small chance that the remnants may find itself in more conducive conditions and may try to redevelop. Yet, he says most computer models show that there is just a small window in which redevelopment can take place and even if it did form again, it would not impact the United States.
