Dade City's Scream-A-Geddon may leave you "infected"

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Dade City has what could be considered the most haunted experience in Florida: Scream-A-Geddon, a horror park production.

There are six attractions, including a 3D haunted house experience and a “cursed” hayride. In the hub of Scream-A-Geddon is the Monster Midway, where you’ll find refreshments, including beer and wine, and food vendors while you roam with the zombies, or you can fire paintballs at them.

For two of the haunted homes, you have the option of wearing a glow necklace while you wander through it. This lets the “undead” actors know that you consent to being touched or moved. Rather than just looking at the actors, you might get moved around, maybe into their cells, for instance, where you could become "infected."  The rest of your group may have to wait a few more minutes before you finally exit.

Ticket prices vary depending on the day, but ranges from $20 and up if you purchased online. All tickets are $5 more at the box office.

FOX 13’s Alcides Segui was a little spooked during his experience as he filled in for Charley. At the end of his live shot, he was swarmed by zombies, but we think he still recommends the experience, if you’re up for it.
