Massive Tampa park opens this weekend
TAMPA (FOX 13) - The brand new Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park opens to the public this weekend.
On the west side of the Hillsborough River, the public can enjoy massive 25-acre green-space project. The new park includes marina slips for both motorized boats, as well as kayaks, dragon boats, a splash pad for kids, two dog parks, an event center, boat house, sports courts, and a large open area.
It's Tampa’s largest investment in green space ever. The Riverfront Park is three times larger than Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. There are all sorts of festivities planned for the grand opening.
