LARGO (FOX 13) - If you are thinking about adding a pet to your home, you really should check out your county’s animal shelter first.

There are plenty of dogs and cats, puppies and kittens in search of their forever homes.

Charley visited the Pinellas County Animal Services to learn more about their fostering programs and how pet parents can prepare for hurricanes.
