South Tampa dance studio teaches those who are 'young at heart'

TAMPA (FOX 13) - In South Tampa, there is a dance studio for the “young at heart.”

Roy Stone has been teaching dance lessons at Lavelle Dance Hall for nearly 15 years. Stone logged more than 40 years as a professional dancer. He’s a former theatrical champion, and a United States adjudicator with the national dance Council of America. 

At his dance school, he teaches ballroom and Latin dancing. He is one of the only schools in the area that offers authentic Argentine tango by professionals Victor and Federico of Argentina.

One of his best students at the moment is 93 years young.
