'The Farm House' combines donuts with woodworking

A Bradenton business created an interesting combination: donuts and fine woodworking.

The owners, one of which is a former highway patrol trooper, at The Farm House have been creating beautiful pieces of furniture and décor from old wood for a long time, and to big companies like Disney, Wayfair and Google. The couple decided to set up a store front to help sell their wares locally.

They had a little bit of space left over -- a counter they thought would be perfect to sell something else, like donuts. They developed their own size, not a mini-donut, but not quite full-sized either. A cake donut fried crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, topped with all sorts of sweet and savory options. You can choose from salted caramel, apple pie, fruity pebbles, or even sausage gravy over your donuts.

Now, the donuts have taken off. People come in for a treat, and leave with a table. Or is it the other way around?
