11-year-old Bartow boy found

UPDATE: Tyler was found safe Friday morning.

Police are searching for an 11-year-old Bartow boy who failed to return home from school on Thursday. 

Tyler Tinsley was reported missing at around 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening. Officers began searching areas that the Bartow Middle School student frequents and reaching out to individuals who know him. During the search, the officers learned that Tyler was spotted not long after he was reported missing in the area of Mann Road and Lila Street at 8:49 p.m.  

According to Bartow Police, Tyler was walking alone and did not appear to be in distress at the time he was last seen. 

The search for Tyler continues. The 11-year-old was last seen wearing a dark blue hoodie jacket, a blue Bartow Middle School shirt, khaki cargo shorts, and black tennis shoes. He is about 4 feet, nine inches tall and weighs 87 pounds. 

Tyler has blue eyes, and light blonde hair that is cut short. He may be carrying a dark-colored backpack with super heroes on the outside.
