2 pedestrians hit on Gulf Blvd. in Treasure Island

Two people have life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Gulf Boulevard in Treasure Island.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says it received reports about the pedestrian accident at about 6:45 Saturday evening. 

Deputies and Treasure Island police went to the scene at 118th Avenue. 

Both pedestrians were taken to the hospital.

The person driving the vehicle stayed on the scene and did not seem to be injured, according to the sheriff's office. 

The sheriff's office's Major Accident Team was investigating.
