2-year-old dies after being hit by van in driveway

FORT MYERS (FOX 13) - A 2-year-old died Sunday morning after being hit by a van in a Fort Myers driveway.  

Investigators say the accident happened around 11:30 a.m. in the 4400 block of Bessie Avenue.

The child was transported to a local hospital, but died a short time later. 

The Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
