After finding a skimmer attached to the ATM inside his business, a gas station clerk checked security video and saw a woman was "behaving suspiciously" at the ATM a few hours earlier.

Now, the the St. Petersburg Police Department needs help to identify the woman.

It happened inside a 7-11 convenience store on 4th Street North on Tuesday.

The clerk at the 7-11 said he saw the woman behaving suspiciously as she stood at the ATM just after 8 a.m. About two hours later, the clerk checked the ATM machine and found a plastic piece and skimmer attached over the card reader. The plastic piece was painted green to match 7-11's colors.

When a customer slid their card in the machine, the skimmer would pick up the data, according to police, who added they don't believe many, if any, customers used the machine while the skimmer was in place.

Anyone who recognizes the woman is asked to call the St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7780, or text the keyword "SPPD" and a tip to 847-411 (Tip-411.)
