8-foot alligator surprises Miami security guard
MIAMI (FOX 13) - Trappers had to be called after a curious alligator started snooping around a water treatment plant in South Florida last night.
When police arrived on the scene at the plant along Rickenbacker Causeway on Virginia Key, they found an 8-foot alligator roaming the parking lot before it plopped down in the middle of the road.
"I saw a big alligator just appear right there and I just called 911," explained a frightened security guard.
Officials believe the gator may have come from the bay next to the treatment plant.
Florida Fish and Wildlife trappers were able to catch it and, luckily for the alligator, relocate it.
