All she wanted for Christmas was a dog, so her parents secretly adopted a pup for her

An Oklahoma college student has been asking her parents for a dog for years, and after years of saying, “no,” they finally caved in time for Christmas.

Hallee Fuqua’s parents kept telling her to wait, but then she started volunteering at the Humane Society of Stillwater. There, she actually fell in love with a dog, named Rambo, who has been waiting on his forever home. She visited him often, and was saddened to learn he was adopted.

Little did she know, her father, Lance Fuqua, and her mom secretly adopted Rambo for her.

“With the help from the Humane Society we kept it a secret,” he explained in a Facebook post. “She found out this weekend that Rambo had been adopted and she was broken. So Sunday night we surprised her with her early Christmas present. We captured the moment on video. Merry Christmas Hallee! #onehappygirl #onehappydog.”

He shared the video on his social media account, showing a tearful Hallee and excited Rambo -- together. Currently, Hallee is a sophomore at Oklahoma State University, and she will have to wait a semester to bring Rambo to school. By then, she will move into a pet-friendly apartment.
