An Amber alert that was issued for two children who were taken from their guardian in Citrus County on Saturday has been cancelled.

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office said the guardian of 3-year-old Rylan Williams and 1-year-old Mason Williams called 911 Saturday evening to report the children missing.

According to deputies, the children's mother, 38-year-old Stacey Williams, texted the guardian earlier in the day asking to see her children, but was denied.

Around 5:45 p.m., Williams showed up at the guardian's home in Lecanto. When the guardian tried to call 911, deputies said Williams broke the phone on the floor and grabbed the guardian's face, causing scratches.

Williams, who is homeless, picked up her children and fled from the home. Investigators said she had no legal right to take the children because of a court order.

Citrus County deputies say the children were found safe and sound with Ryan and Stacey Williams in Catoosa County, GA by Georgia State Police.

More details are expected to be released later today.
