Arrest in Flora Street murder
TAMPA (FOX 13) - The man accused of murdering his new girlfriend is jail this evening.
Hillsborough County deputies say 23-year-old Jovan Huggins was arrested in Cobb County, Georgia earlier this month.
Latoya Smith was found in the roadway on West Flora Street on October 20. Investigators say she suffered a head injury.
Cobb County deputies arrested Huggins after he was found sleeping outside a business.
He is currently awaiting extradition back to Hillsborough County.
