Black bear seen snacking on front porch in Tampa Palms

TAMPA PALMS (FOX 13) - A black bear was spotted early Saturday morning, grabbing a snack in Tampa Palms.

April Wakefield captured the video of the bear, eating out of a bird feeder on her front porch, in the Wyndham neighborhood, behind Tampa Palms elementary school.

"I know it's fed multiple kinds of birds for years, and also a few raccoons. But now, a bear!" Wakefield told FOX 13 News.

People are advised not to feed bears, and if they see them, to give the animals their space and leave them alone. Bears typically shy away from any human contact.
