Chase snarls I-4 traffic in Polk County

AUBURNDALE (FOX 13) - A police chase involving a stolen vehicle sped along Interstate 4 from Hillsborough to eastern Polk County this morning.

Hillsborough deputies say they tried to pull the SUV over but the driver refused to stop and kept going across the county line.  The vehicle eventually stopped near the U.S. 27 exit.

Two people were arrested.

Initially, the highway's eastbound lanes were all blocked, but at least two lanes have since reopened.

Traffic headed towards Orlando is still slow, however.
