Crash claims the life of motorcyclist in St. Petersburg
ST. PETERSBURG (FOX13) - A motorcyclist died after losing control of his bike Saturday night in St. Petersburg. His female passenger was badly injured.
The crash happened at 11 p.m., in the 400 block of Park Street South.
Michael Hughes, 63, of Treasure Island was driving a 2012 Harley Davidson south on Park Street when police say he lost control at a curve and struck a guardrail.
His passenger, Deanna McDorman, 54, also of Treasure Island, was ejected from the motorcycle and landed in the grass.
She was taken to Bayfront Health St. Pete in serious condition.
Hughes was transported to Palms of Pasadena Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
