Crash closes U.S. 19 lanes in Clearwater

CLEARWATER (FOX 13) - The southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 19 were blocked for part of the afternoon after a crash involving an overturned semi-truck.

The scene of the crash was near East Bay Drive.  Troopers say the driver of a southbound SUV lost control and hit the truck, which slammed into the concrete barrier and overturned.

The SUV driver was ticketed for careless driving.

No one was injured.
