Damage from break-in causes Brooksville library to close
BROOKSVILLE (FOX 13) - Extensive damage during a break-in has forced a Hernando County library to temporarily close.
Library officials at the Main Brooksville Library said they will remain closed until further noticed following the burglary. The library is located at 238 Howell Avenue in Brooksville.
Photos from county government officials show openings in several parts of the library's roof, with debris laying on the ground.
It’s unclear if anything was stolen or the total cost in damages. The incident is being investigated by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
