Deluge in Pasco County, Bay Area

Heavy rains caused several neighborhoods to flood in Pasco County, but county officials say they haven't gotten any reports of water in homes.

Most of the flooding has been reported on Cape Cod Drive in Holiday. Streets had several feet of water on them, encroaching on mailboxes and cars.

County officials also said the Park Lake Estates community off Old County Road 54 in New Port Richey was dealing with some flooding.

The county has opened up sandbag centers in four locations:

  • Fire Station #17, 2951 Seven Springs Blvd., New Port Richey
  • West Pasco Government Center, 7536 State Street, New Port Richey
  • J.W. Mitchell Park, 4025 Little Rd., New Port Richey
  • 6420 Pine Hill Road, New Port Richey.

Sand bags will be available 24 hours a day throughout the weekend. Residents will need to bring their own shovels and are limited to 20 sandbags per household.
