Detectives identify mother of two killed in Tampa home

TAMPA (FOX 13) - Detectives identified a woman murdered inside a Tampa home as 35-year-old Evelyn Christina Chambers.

On Friday, Hillsborough County deputies responded to her home at 3675 Sugarcreek Drive around 11:49 a.m. They said the mother of two was shot inside her home. A friend at the home heard gunshots and dialed 911, according to detectives.

They said they believe the shooting is an isolated incident, and are following up on leads to identify a suspect. Chambers’ daughters, ages 18 and 15, were not home at the time of the shooting.
