Even after having their car stolen, Bob and Linda Seybold are very happy campers. Their little dog, Brandy was in the car and they now have her back, safe and sound.

"It is a great relief," Bob said. "She is a valued member of our family."

The Seybolds went out to an Italian restaurant Tuesday night. They left Brandy in their car with the air conditioning running. When they came out, the car - with Brandy in it - was gone.

"It was horrifying," Seybold told FOX 13. "Our greatest fear was that we were not going to get our dog back."

Later that night, investigators found their missing car, but Brandy was no where to be found.

Apparently, the thief dumped the little poodle-Chihuahua mix on the shoulder of State Road 64 - a busy and dangerous road. She wandered until the next day when a woman found her, gave her bath and brought her to Manatee County Animal Services, where the Seybolds picked her up.

A teen witness told the Seybolds that he saw a man get into their car and take off. The young man says he saw a second man take off in another car and tail the first.

Bradenton police have not made any arrests, yet.
