Dove makes nest on police patrol car in Ohio

A mourning dove chose a Parma, Ohio police patrol car as the location for its nest.

Officers noticed the dove had created a nest at the base of the car's windshield, and two eggs were laid inside. Police said the cruiser is a back-up vehicle so it isn't used every day.

In an effort to protect the nest, the police department taped off the vehicle and attached an umbrella to keep the dove and its eggs dry.

Both male and female mourning doves typically incubate the eggs, so it's possible that there's two doves visiting the nest.
