A recall was issued for 2,800 dressers because the items may pose a severe injury risk.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says if the dresser isn’t anchored to the wall, it could result in a tip-over and entrapment risk that can result in injuries or death to children. CPSC officials added that the dressers violate the mandatory standard as required by the STURDY Act.

No injuries have been reported because of using the dressers.

What dressers are being recalled?

Why you should care:

This recall involves 17 Stories Furniture 18-Drawer Dressers sold in black, brown and gray.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the furniture has a metal frame, wooden top and 18 collapsable fabric drawers.

The dressers were sold for $100 on Wayfair.com between September 2023 and November 2025.

If I have the dresser, is a refund available?

What you can do:

Owners of the dressers should stop using the recalled dressers immediately if they are not anchored to the wall and put them in a place that children cannot access.

Consumer Product Safety Commission officials say consumers can contact 17 Stories Furniture with instructions on how to dispose of the dressers to get a full refund. Owners must submit a photo to Drawer18Recall@outlook.com demonstrating disposal of the product.
