Driver runs away after crashing car into Tampa home, police say

TAMPA, Fla. (FOX 13) - Tampa police are searching for a driver who crashed into a home, and then ran from the scene, they said.

Early Tuesday morning, a resident living inside a home near East 28th Avene and North 26th Street woke up to find a car crashed into the front portion of the residence. Police said the driver ran off, and officials used a helicopter and K9 to find the suspect.

There is no word yet on whether police found a suspect or identified one. No one inside the home was injured.
