Ducklings rescued while jumping from building
ASBURY PARK, NJ - A momma duck in New Jersey made her little ducklings jump over a ledge not once, but twice, to keep up with her.
Thankfully, employees at Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten saw what was happening and helped the lucky seven ducks along their way.
The ducklings hatched from their mother’s nest on the roof of the restaurant, and to get down, they decided to jump.
Video of the last two ducklings taking the plunge shows them coming to the edge, then falling into the outstretched ball cap of the sous chef two stories below.
As if one fall was not enough, the momma duck approached the ledge of a waterway and jumped in. This jump wasn’t nearly as steep, and all the ducklings made it in and swam away.
