Fire tears through Hudson home

HUDSON, Fla (FOX 13) - Firefighters say a house in Hudson’s Beacon Woods community is a total loss after a Thursday afternoon blaze there.

Pasco County Fire Rescue says the single-family home along Ironwood Circle was burning so intensly when crews arrived that they had to take a defensive posture. It took firefighters over an hour to bring the flames under control.

Investigators remain on the scene. They believe the cause of the fire was electrical in nature.

No injuries were reported.
