Firefighters douse Largo blaze

LARGO (FOX 13) - Fire crews had their hands full battling a two-alarm blaze in Largo this morning.

The scene of the fire was at the Jägerstüble German deli along East Bay Road.  The view from SkyFOX showed crews using a ladder truck to douse the flames, which had broken through the restaurant's red roof.

Morning commuters called 911 to report seeing smoke coming from the empty building.

"The business pretty much does lunch and dinner and was unoccupied," offered Robert Shay of Largo Fire Rescue.

There was no immediate word about the cause of the fire.
