Found: Missing 9-year-old boy last seen in north Florida

UPDATE: State officials have canceled the Missing Child Alert for Benjamin Karg. They said he was found safe, and no other information has been provided. 


A Florida Missing Child Alert has been issued for a 9-year-old boy who was last seen in north Florida.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is looking for Benjamin Karg, who was last seen in the area of Jacksonville or Yulee, Florida.

Benjamin is 4 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black shirt with a Fortnite logo with a Pittsburgh Penguins hooded sweatshirt and grey sweatpants.

Authorities said Benjamin wears glasses and has an oval-shaped birthmark on his left calf.

Investigators said he may be in the company of 41-year-old Crystal Karg, who is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. She has brown hair and green eyes, and was last seen wearing a pink softshell jacket, grey shirt, light blue jeans and knee-high brown boots. She has a mole on her forehead, wears glasses and may carry multiple bags or purses.

FDLE said they may be traveling in a 2006 dark green Honda Pilot with North Carolina tag VSR8426.
