Hernando deputies search for 'armed and dangerous' gas station robber
BROOKSVILLE (FOX 13) - Hernando County deputies are searching for an armed robber who stole cash from a Brooksville gas station.
On Sunday, they said the suspect, described as a Hispanic male, entered the store to purchase an item. After, he waited inside the store for other customers to leave. According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, when the store emptied, he attempted a second purchase.
When the cashier rang up the second sale, the suspect showed a firearm and demanded cash from the register.
Deputies say the suspect had a heavy Spanish accent and was last seen wearing a blue shirt with “AERO 1987” written on the front. They say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
The sheriff’s office said they will release videos or photos. Anyone with information is asked to call the agency at (352) 754-6830.
