Tampa Fire Rescue crews held a high-rise emergency training exercise downtown on Saturday.

The exercise was designed to mimic that of a mass-casualty scenario and prepare first responders for the inter-agency cooperation needed to safely evacuate staff and occupants from high-rise buildings.  At One Tampa City Center, TFR teamed up with Massey Disaster Planning and Cushman and Wakefield of Florida, Inc. for the exercise.

The drill took place over the course of about three hours. Firefighters from Hillsborough Fire Rescue and Temple Terrace Fire Department also participated in the exercise.
