Howl-O-Scream hiring begins July 22 at Busch Gardens

We're just into the summer months, but it's time to start thinking about the Bay Area's favorite holiday - outside of Gasparilla, of course - Halloween.

And Halloween means it's almost time for Busch Gardens' Howl-O-Scream. Instead of buying a ticket and waiting in line like everyone else, join the scream team and work at the park during this year's event.

Busch Gardens said it is hiring for its award-winning Howl-O-Scream event, which begins September 23. If you typically spend October 31 hiding under the front steps, waiting to startle young trick-or-treaters, this is your chance to take your spooking game to the next level and get paid at the same time.

The park is looking enthusiastic performers who are passionate about Halloween, but if you're passionate about Halloween, the performance should be no problem, right?

You will have to prove you've got what it takes to terrify the bravest of the Bay Area. Auditions will be held July 22, 23, 29 and 30 at 5 p.m. at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

You will have to be of legal scaring age - 18-years or older - to apply, but no experience is required. Performers are asked to wear comfortable clothing and apply for the position prior to coming for an audition at http://careers.seaworldparks.com/.
