Kayaker found dead in Hudson lake identified
HUDSON (FOX 13) - A kayaker who was found dead Thursday evening in Hudson has been identified by authorities.
74-year-old Kress Luebke, of New Port Richey, was found dead in the waters off Frierson Drive, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
It was around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday when a Frierson Lakes resident reported spotting an overturned kayak. After searching from the air and the water, deputies found the body of a man whom they believe was on the kayak.
“Preliminarily, circumstances do not appear to be suspicious and the investigation continues,” a sheriff’s office spokesperson stated.
