Kmart manager makes emotional final call before store closes for good

A Kmart manager in Pennsylvania made an emotional call to shoppers as he announced the store was closing for the final time.

Pittsburgh native Joshua Englert, who had worked at the McMurray store for 18 years, struggled to hold back tears in a video of the final call, which was shared on Facebook.

“I wanted to take this opportunity not to sell you 40-cent plaid skirts or five-cent panties, but instead to thank you for supporting a lifetime of memories.” He thanked customers and his colleagues for “working together to get through the stressful times”.

Englert’s store is one of dozens forced to close after its parent company Sears filed for bankruptcy.
