It took artist local Cam Parker 125.5 hours to bring a mural of Lady Gaga to life. She is his inspiration.

“There's so much to cling and grasp from her the fashion the art the music,” he said.

Like her, Parker's work on North Franklin Street is a standout. Lady Gaga's eyes are piercing, her lips bold and her hair is golden yellow.  It has become a photo hotspot for her fans.

“Just that appreciation from the community, because it’s not just mine, it’s ours,” Parker said.

But the biggest recognition would come from Lady Gaga herself. She paused her concert at Amalie Arena to show off Parker's work.

"That's a real artist right there. Look at that beautiful art,” Lady Gaga told the sold out crowd.

”When she spun around and was showing it like a wrestler girl I was like if this is what she gets to feel like very night, it’s not because of money or fame, it’s the rush you get,” he said.

A moment of acknowledgement, from one artist to another.

“I’m going to make sure I keep this backstage for me,” Gaga told the crowd.

“For her to say what she said and for her to take 20 seconds, 30 seconds out of the show and stop the show to do that it literally meant everything,” Parker said.
