Lightning sparks Largo apartment fire

Lightning sparked an apartment fire in Largo this morning.

Eight units were evacuated at the Bal Harbour Apartments off Belcher Road after lightning struck a building and went through a stairwell opening.

The resulting two-alarm fire spread through the building's attic.

There were no injuries reported.
