LUTZ, Fla. (FOX 13) - An early morning fire sent a Lutz resident to the hospital.
Hillsborough County firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 16000 block of Hanna Road before 8 a.m. Friday. When they arrived the second floor was fully engulfed in smoke and flames.
Officials said the first floor of the structure appears to be a workshop or storage area, and the second floor was an apartment.
Crews said they found the resident standing outside. The fire was under control within 15 minutes, according to the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.
The resident was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were no other reported injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
