Man charged with DUI manslaughter after deadly New Year's Day crash in Seffner

A man has been arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter after a New Year's Day crash that killed a woman, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

HCSO said after a warrant was issued, Terry Limehouse, 27, turned himself into the Orient Rd. Jail on Friday afternoon.

The backstory:

The crash happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 1 in Seffner. Investigators said Limehouse's Nissan Maxima veered off the road and onto the sidewalk at the intersection of Williams Rd. and River International Dr., hitting the victim.

Limehouse remained on scene and denied drinking prior to the crash, investigators said, but a blood sample showed his BAC was .09, which is above the legal limit.

A woman died after she was hit by a car in the area of Williams Rd. and MLK in Seffner.

The victim, whose name and age were not released, was found dead at the scene.

Limehouse is currently out of jail on $50,000 bond.

He is also an employee of the Department of Juvenile Justice-Juvenile Corrections.
