Man dragged nearly 75 feet from car in parking lot

Pasco County deputies are looking for possibly four suspects that dragged another man from their car across a parking lot.

It happened after an argument Saturday afternoon at the 7-11 on State Road 54 in Odessa.

Deputies say the man is in stable condition and escaped with only a few cuts and bruises.

A witness told investigators he saw a car speeding away from the convenient store dragging a man head first over the hard gravel and into the road.

Deputies say the man who hit the ground was arguing with up to four people in a white Sebring.

Eric Manske, a witness, says the commotion was out of character for the area.

“I know a lot of people who go and shop at the flea market and it's usually pretty quiet so to see this kind of action around here, it's really stunning to have the whole road closed and everything. It's pretty shocking,” said Eric Manske.

Deputies collected evidence form a car that appears to be involved and are reviewing surveillance video from the 7-11.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
