Man killed after fight inside Spring Hill home

Hernando County Deputies say a man is dead after a fight with another man inside a Spring Hill home.

Investigators say they got a report of the incident through a 911 call at about 2:30 Thursday afternoon. They then responded to a home on Tansboro Street to find a man deceased.

Detectives have not revealed a motive or identified the men involved in the fight, but did say they were questioning the man who survived the fight.

Several neighbors tell FOX 13 the man investigators are questioning is 50-year-old James Turner. According to Hernando County property records, Turner is the owner of the home at the center of the investigation.

Neigbors say Turner stabbed his former roommate after the roommate attacked him. They say the believe Turner was provoked because of ongoing disputes between the roommate and his friends and Turner.

"I'm shocked, almost devastated. I mean my bedroom's right there. I can shout and they can hear me. Just to know that there's a body in that house right now, it's something else," said neighbor Brian Nye.

Police have not said if Turner faces any charges.
