Man killed in crash after another driver runs red light at Pasco intersection: FHP

A man died Thursday night after a driver ran a red light at an intersection in Pasco County and crashed into his pickup truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at around 7:45 p.m. at County Line Rd. and U.S. 41 in the Lutz area, FHP said.

Troopers said a 38-year-old man driving a Chevy Silverado drove through a red light along County Line Rd., crashing into a Toyota Tundra headed northbound on U.S. 41.

The driver of the Tundra, a 69-year-old man from Land O' Lakes, died at the scene.

The other driver's injuries were not life-threatening, FHP said.

Troopers did not release details on possible charges connected to the crash.
