Man steals $50 from church donation box
CLEARWATER (FOX 13) - Police are hoping you can help them identify the man who stole a donation box full of cash from a Clearwater church.
According to police, the crime happened shortly after 4 p.m. back on January 13 at St. Cecelia's Catholic Church on Jasmine Way.
The man walked into the open chapel, broke open the donation box, and stole the cash inside, which was about $50. Surveillance footage shared by police shows the man walking out of the church.
Police describe the man as a white male in his 40s or 50s, about 5-feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He was wearing orange shorts, a blue plaid shirt, and yellow gloves. They also say he had long and thin brown hair.
