The temperatures have dipped and that means manatees are heading to the warmer waters outside the Big Bend power plant in Apollo Beach.

The manatees have been flocking there for decades now each winter and people can watch them from Tampa Electric's Manatee Viewing Center. SkyFOX flew over the manatees early Wednesday where a large number of manatees were seen gathered in the warmer waters outside the power station, along with a large number of sharks.

The viewing center opened up in November and will be open through April 15.

Admission and parking is free.
