Metropolitan Ministries helps homeless fight Zika virus

TAMPA (FOX 13) - Metropolitan Ministries is helping the homeless population fight the Zika virus.

The organization is collecting funds to provide Zika virus prevention kits to homeless individuals and families.

The kits include bug spray, mosquito nets and permethrin spray. Each kit costs $23.50.

Metropolitan Ministries said the Zika virus is a major threat to homeless people, especially pregnant women and children.
