Missing 12-year-old found dead

PENSACOLA (FOX 13) - A missing 12-year-old from Pensacola was found dead Monday afternoon. 

Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan announced in a press conference today that the body of Naomi Jones was found in the water near Ashland and Detroit about 3 miles from where she was originally reported missing. 

The Sheriff announced that a homicide investigation is now underway.
