MISSING: 13-year-old developmentally delayed child

A Missing Child alert was issued to Sarasota residents for Tanner Neutzling, a 13-year-old developmentally delayed boy who wandered off from his home in Saddle Creek Trail Thursday night.
Tanner is 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 95 pounds, and has brown hair and hazel eyes.
K9 units searched the area for Tanner Thursday night and deputies assisted by searching from the air. Friday, a volunteer group, Sarasota K9 Search and Rescue, were headed back to the area to search for him.
Deputies said he is familiar with the wooded area around his home and has wandered off before. He usually goes to a nearby residence or convenience store when he's ready to go home, a release from the sheriff's office stated.
