Motorcyclist dies after West Shore Plaza crash
TAMPA, Fla. (FOX 13) - Police say a motorcyclist died after crashing in the West Shore Plaza parking lot Wednesday evening.
According to Tampa police, Mauricio Daniel Moreno-Esparza failed to negotiate a left turn and wound up hitting the east wall of the JC Penney store. The 31-year-old died at the scene.
Investigators do not believe speed was a factor, but they noted that Moreno-Esparza was not wearing a helmet.
