Multiple agencies respond to aggravated assault

SARASOTA, Fla. (FOX 13) - The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault in the 800 block of Bacon Avenue in Sarasota. 

The sheriff's office says multiple units have responded to a home including Patrol, K9, SWAT, Air-1 and the Negotiation Unit. The incident began as a domestic dispute and at this point there are no injuries reported.

People living nearby have been asked to stay indoors, and members of the public are being told to avoid the area.

All lanes of Palmer Boulevard are shut down from Coleman to Gantt Avenues.
