A man wanted in connection with a murder case is now in custody after a brief standoff today.

The suspect, later identified by deputies as 24-year-old Raul Rodriguez Jr., was barricaded inside a home on Navajo Ave. in Tampa. He was wanted on a second-degree murder warrant..

SWAT and crisis negotiators were called to the scene and a standoff ensued.  Three hours later, the SWAT team deployed what the sheriff's office called "audible distraction devices," prompting Rodriguez to surrender peacefully.

Investigators believe he's the man who shot Jose Alonso Rodriguez -- no relation -- after a fight in Wimauma back in December.
