Newlywed's purse, wedding money stolen at restaurant
HUDSON (FOX 13) - Deputies in Pasco County are trying to identify a thief seen on surveillance video stealing a purse with wedding money inside from a new bride.
The theft happened Friday at Kickin Wingz. The couple was eating dinner when a woman is caught on surveillance video scoping out the newlyweds.
She then grabs Heather Macke's purse from the corner of her chair and walks out of the restaurant.
"When we got ready to leave I noticed my purse was gone," said Macke.
Macke was just married and had wedding money and gift cards in the purse. She also had sensitive documents inside because she was in the process of legally changing her name.
"I feel really violated by the whole thing," said Macke.
Pasco detectives are asking for the public's help to identify the purse snatcher. Kickin Wingz is offering a $500 reward for information.
